8800GTX OC ATITool BSOD?

So I was using ATiTool to OC my 8800GTX. I used the "find max core" like I have with all my other cards. I hit 660 core @ 55C and BSOD. Do I need to increase some voltages or what do you think went on? I was running dual prime95 to make sure the system is under stress creating a typical heat environment like I was gaming. My processor @ 3.2GHZ was at 48C after 16 hours of strict Prime95.

Update!_!

So now ATiTool won't load my gfx card. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and nothing. I'm a sad panda.

I know Allan uses ATITool without issue on his 8800 but I havent been able to use it yet stable. It caused all sorts of conflicts. Seems to be a bit hit and miss. At the moment I have my safe overclock using a flashed bios which has also increased the shader clock. Something no software has been able to do yet.
If you know 100% your card can handle the overclocks why not locate a ROM for one of the pre-clocked models and flash that.

It was working so great!!! Now it sucks

Is there anything needed to up voltages for the pci-e like you could in AGP?

I didn't get a chance to test my ram clocks, but I know i can run 660mhz core. Any suggestions on Roms. I haven't ever flashed my Video Card Rom before though. hmmmmm

Cant stress enough, if you don't know what your doing/ have never flashed a card before or can't afford to kersplunk a good card don't even head down this path, it'll end in tears.

Consider yourself warned all.

If you ignore this and go ahead anyway i'd recommend running your card at the settings of your manufacturers overclocked cards for at least a month to make sure it can handle them ok. If after that time everything is cool then go ahead flashing the bios.

For example I ran my card from launch at 600/1800, I then chose the BFG GTS OC bios and flashed it. The OC flash is actually a lot less than the clocks I know it could run but that was my goal. A nice safe overclock above the stock I originally paid for. A free card upgrade if you will.
One other thing to consider is the shader overclock. At this moment no-body has managed to raise the shader with software, a flashed bios may increase your shader, in my case from 1200mhz to 1300mhz. This is still a mystery area so monitor and bios flash carefully.

Unfortunately I can't get anything to OC my card to test it out. I agree, definitely want to make sure itll run without problems in a high stress environment at those settings.

I would run folding@home no my card and also run it on my cpus to make sure I can get it to run properly.
