Just got a Inno3D 9800GTX and it performs badly
HI there.
I just got a new system Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 Intel Q9450 cpu. Zalman ZA600-hp psu and a Inno3D 9800GTX card running vista 64bit sp1, and using the neewst drivers from nvidia. But my card is running så badly, I cant play cod4, or unreal tournament 3 now i now this dosent meen anything but under windows Experience Index i only get 3,7 in 3d score. Under GPUZ it says Bus INterface PCI-E 2.0X16@16 2.0 GPU COre CLocl 675.0 Mhz GPU memory CLock 11.01.6 Mhz GPU temp. 62.0 C so all that seems fine. |

Hey there, I'm not exactly sure what the issue is, but I have the same video card and have no issues at all running either of those games, even with hi res and all the nice stuff turned on.
I have an Inno3d 9800gtx, Vista 64 Ultimate (not SP1 admittedly) 4gb drr2 800, an AMD 6400 X2 cpu (3.2ghz) I also have a 900w (peak power tho) psu. I wonder if you're not getting enough power? 600w should easily be enough - have you got the 2 pci-e power cables plugged in to the 9800gtx? You might be struggling due to lack or power for one reason or another. It COULD also be the cpu, im not familiar with the intel quad cores, but i know that 9800gtx benefits greatly from a higher frequency cpu. What RAM do you have? I wouldnt go for anything less than 2 or 3gb ddr2 800 in vista64, trying to play those games. You should be getting much higher than 3.7 (but you knew that!) I'd also make sure direct x is installed correctly and updated (despite the vista sp). The Inno3d card is a good one if you're not bottle necked elsewhere. Good luck ! Dave |

Have you tried setting the core and memory clocks to their proper speed? Try using RivaTuner or the like to do so and see what you get.

Well man, It seems to be another "great Windows Vista experience" try installing windows xp, or vista 32 (or reinstalling your vista)... maybe your card has something wrong...
