Paradox Enigma is on a distinguished road

Anyone else notice the GTX 280 price drops?

...just gotta love competition.

See GTX 280 going for as low as $459 now (MSI on newegg with rebate) - down from $650 last week!!!. Some early adopters ain't gonna be happy.

Still don't know if a $160 premium is worth it over the HD4870 though.?.?.? Last week it was a no-brainer, this week? AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I ordered one too (HD4870) - last week before the GTX 280 price drop. It arrives today. It replaces an 8800GTX. Last ATI I had was X800.... fingers crossed.

these are confusing times indeed. at once i was what i suppose an ati fanboy. but thru the repeated beatdowns handed to them by nvidia, i currently have an nvidia card and am happy(other than the whole artifact at stock timings thing.)(xfx7900) there used to be a definitive answer to which trumps what. now that line is blurred with what features work best with what application you have in mind. blazing fast framerates vs beautiful visual quality. superclocked cores w/gddr3 vs gddr5. such is the wonderful world of competition. gotta love it.

i'll take beautiful visuals every time, if frame rate allows.
