9800 gx2 temps

Is 178 deg F too hot for this card under a load?

Hey, sorry for not seeing this earlier.

to answer your question, 178F comes out to 81C, which is perfectly normal for a load temperature. These cards do run a bit warmer than other cards, excluding the GTX200 series. To my understanding, they can go as high as 95C, or 203F, and still be within normal operating temperatures under load.

wow I believe I might be able to pull off a cooking show on a 200 deg F video card! thanks for the info.
