I have (2) 8800GTX 348 bit/768mb cards and when I attempt to run them in SLI mode, I get a split screen. What would be the cause of this? Do I have a dead card or do I just have a wrong setting somewhere?

sorry, i have no idea, but here are some general guideline points to check:
- are you running the latest drivers for your cards? - if you are running up to date drivers, were the old drivers fully uninstalled? - if they were fully uninstalled, did you use an version of DH Driver Cleaner to uninstall them? - are your card temps within acceptable load ranges? (below 80C) - is your PSU fine? - did this problem happen just recently? or is this your first time running SLi? - did you mess with any SLI settings? well those are all possible problems, but for now i recommend playing with the nvidia control panel to see if you can find a solution.

Well, I've found/fixed the problem with my screen being split in half. The only issue I have now is if I run it full screen, it flickers like a strobe light. I've got the latest drivers installed and vertical sync turned off but I can't figure out what would be causing the screen flicker. Any suggestions?

are the NVIDIA SLI indicators enabled or disabled?
![]() I suggest that you disable the indicators if they are currently enabled. also, what was the problem/cause of this issue? You didn't mention what it was. Also, have you tried to run each card individually (meaning pull out the video card from the machine and trying them one at a time). Also, what MoBo do you have? According to your specs, you have an AMD 570 chipset board, but depending on the manufacturer there may be BIOS configs that you might need to follow to have this working correctly. Not really sure what else to go on if there isn't any more info here.... this coming from a guy who has an ATI card

because NV doesn't have an AGP gfx card as powerful as the x1950pro 512MB

I found the solution to my SLI issue by accident. The dimwit who owned this system before I bought it had the SLI bridge connected to the wrong terminals thus causing the screen to blink because it couldn't access the other 8800 GPU. My chipset is a 570i Intel.

to the other terminals?
on the 8800GTX cards it shouldn't matter which of the two SLI connectors you use. |

I'm sure it wouldn't matter normally but the other two terminals had a sticker covering the tops of them disallowing a proper connection to be made.
