Wink Doubt which i should buy(8800 ultra or 9800 GTX+)

Hello Experts;

I am trying to search about this but couldn't find anything helpful, i am getting a new card my pocket can hold up to 210 bucks and i was searching the internet and saw this EVGA and XFX 8800 ULTRA for 200 bucks and the 9800 GTX+ for the same price and i have this Doubt which should i buy? which performs better, i am a very graphic demand guy but i cannot go for SLI or very expensive things this is my actual machine which is very nice for me to play:

Q6600 - 2.4 GHZ
2 X 2GB AEON 800 MHZ of ram
OCZ Xstealth 600 Watts PSU
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
17" BENQ monitor
and video card? help me decide please

i would really appreciate any help, and please tell reason why i should pick the one you are saying, cause when people say get the 8800 ULTRA cause is an ULTRA it is like uhh?

thanks in forward XD!!

Hey, I don't want to sound provocative or anything, but you could also consider an ATi HD4870. It offers the best bang for the buck and it costs roughly the same.

And one mote thing: with a 17" monitor which probably has the native resolution of 1024x768 or maybe 1280x1024, these graphic cards won't unleash their full potential. You'll be holding them back You should also consider buying a new monitor in the near future, with at least 1680x1050 resolution.

Pissed Uhhh ATi....

I know ATi is cheap.... but ATi it is like BRUTE FORCE without brain , they come very equiped to DO nothing just to cause pain! yes they are cheap!! because when a new generation of game comes all ATi actual cards gets obsolect in a Second and you need to buy another card, i am not very well familiarized ( sorry for my english) with this technologys but i know ATi always lacks brain correct me if iam wrong but ive seen GDDR4 with 1 GB in ATi cards for what? to die in the newest game to come please NO more ATi it is like throwing your money, Nvidia holds up a couple of game till you have to change, i remember that VPU recover error every time i tryed to play , then i bought a 7300 GT from FOxconn and it was playing very nice, nvidia may not have the muscles but sure got the BRAIN , so please limit to Nvidia no ATi's

That outlook might make you a few enemies, but if it's any consolation, I know what you mean. At your resolution, I'd say that a 9800GTX is likeley to be the faster card. It also has better pure video etc. and uses less power than the Ultra.

Hehehe i need to say a BIG sorry to the ones who recommended me the ATi HD 4870 and i said Ati was bad, i saw some performance and well.. still NVIDIA is better hehehee but Ati's prices are very decent and offer an Awsome card for the price, the HD 4870 did pretty good in the test i saw, Too bad i already bought the 9800GTX+ (guess the 4870 would have been a better option), but nvidia to death!! XD
