problem with the new Physx driver
im speaking about version 9.09.0010.
before this release I never have had any trouble accessing properties and setting the driver to use Physx card instead of Geforce. however, after I installed the new driver, when I access properties, a popup is displayed asking which user account do I want to access with (never has happened before with older versions). i acess it with my only account which has adminitrator rights. but when I get to settings tab - all options are grayed out (inaccessible). i cant neither disable/enable acceleration, neither choose which card should be used for acceleration.

Re: problem with the new Physx driver
This is in the release highlights.
Runtime upgrade ONLY for AGEIA PhysX processors users. (New installations should install older PhysX system software such as version 8.09.04 – prior to installing this update). Probably isn't the problem since you say you've been using previous releases. Just thought id make you aware to be sure. Although it may make a difference if you removed the older physx driver before installing. meaning you should not remove the older driver before installing the newer release if you plan on using an AGEIA. |
