error code 43

Hello my name is Kevin and I am a gamer(sorta lol). I am here to look up info, I am using windows vista 32-bit, and nvidia gforce 8300gs. All of a sudden, it says this device has had a problem error code is 43, had to disable the device just to be able to see my computer screen. any help will be beneficial. I am not sure if I am overheating it or what. It could be as simple as needing a new cooling system on it, but before I go and spend money I would like to see if anyone has had similar problems

Everysingle error code 43 i've ever received has been due to the graphics card failing.. the gpu itself.

If this just recently started, then it could have just gotten really hot and then fried or any number of issues.

A geforce 8300 doesn't require any extra power or anything different... you could try removing the drivers and installing the latest set of drivers for the card from www.nvidia.com to see if it resolves the issue.

I am pretty sure it is fried to be honest. I have downloaded all the latest drivers to no success. pulling my computer apart to look into it, I noticed their are brown stains on the inside of the Shell Cover that you take off to expose the hardware
