that is a shocking article on so many levels. absolute guess work mixed with already known facts and I honestly don't even think the guy knows the graphics market at all.

The date on that article is August 30. At that time it might have been considered a little more worth while reading (though still crappy).

Hey you want what I think is real info? Click the link below for a chart on release dates by quarter, specs, and more! Just scroll to the bottom. It includes all nvidia cards and the info looks right on target!

Took me forever to find it but I want to build a machine with Fermis for my friend next year. Heck, I want one for myself too, but I just don't have that kind of cash. Oh well, it will still be fun, and who knows what they'll offer to pay me for the machine. It's going to be AWESOME! As in most AWESOME machine in state quite possibly. That's all I can say as I'm counting on A LOT of future tech to come out, spread, and be reasonably priced by next winter. USB 3.0, SATA 6.0 Gb/s, FERMI, SSD's (solid state disks [flash memory as a hard drive!]), the list goes on. I'll give specs when it's built. He picked the exact right time to wait until next year by far. And apparently he didn't even know about any of that tech. Maybe he's got a crystal ball. They have just about everything else... Whatever. That info's all I got but more to come. See ya later!

Those specs have been rumored/"confirmed" for months if I recall.

AMD also released (or leaked) some slides before the 5870 release. The companies always pick games that show a good advantage, so I can believe that these slides are true NVIDIA ones, and do have some indication of the cards' performance. Even if true, the big question is when will they be out? There's a chance ATI will have refresh cards by that time.

Some competition for AMD in the higher end would be good.
