I agree. They are the same card. So what it comes down to is which one you prefer. If your an ATI fan your not really going to be upgrading at all. But if you are an Nvidia fan you could always sell your 9800. But eVEN SO iF YOUR AN nVIDIA FAN WAIT 3- 6 MONTHS and get the next new card. (sorry for the caps lock. I'm to lazy to retype that)

Are you seriously saying that a FX5900 blows a ATI 9800 PRO out the door?
uhm... I dont think so buddy, the setup MUST'VE been different, the 9800 pro's technology is a little more advanced.

but for $230 (or something) for a 5900 PRO ULTRA, hooooly thats a GREAT deal.

Ya. No shit. Thats deffinatley not canadian funds. But I think I have probably said it blows the 9800 out the door which is an overstatement. I was and still am just an Nvidiot who's over excited and glad to finally have Nvidia come out with something as good and perhaps a little better than ATI.

Any of you with a Asus A7N8X Deluxe have difficulty fitting the A350 in the board?

I'm planning on getting a A350, but I'm still debating whether I should just get a 9800 Pro.

Welcome mate~ for your information, both cards rocks, basicly, the 5900 is faster but when it comes to image quality (AA and AF) the Radeon 9800pro is the king......~LOL

I was thinking of getting the Radeon All in Wonder 9800PRO. Is there a big difference between the regular Pro and this one? I mean did they have to tune it down to accommodate the other stuff on the board?

Thanks for the info.

Finally...

My FX5900 is benchmarked! Decided on sticking with 44.03 driver set for stability since i overclocked my card to

Core: 485
Memory: 925

I'll crank both up by 50Mhz later tonight, when i've a bit to drink

Same here....... No problems. It was very simple. The card takes up the PCI and the AGP slot. But when you fit the card, dont forget the power connector that plugs into the rear of the card. Basically its a hard drive power connector that fits in the back, very simple and the instructions that came with the card and easyh to follow.

Deadly. I'm running them again right now @ the same settings you had yours at. 485 and 935. I really did not think the card would run that high.

Hey Mr 7

Try using drivers version 44.67... they have better vertex shaders and mipp mapping. Increased my score by 400 points!

So where can I get the best price on a FX5900 card?

New Egg is selling them for around $337.00 does anyone know another place that might be cheaper?

Thanks
