Re: What to upgrade to
I currently run the Zotero Nvidia Geforce 640 GT. It's not way up with the high end graphics cards, but it is very good and budget-savy.

Re: What to upgrade to
The ASUS model seems to be the quietest in the Geforce crowd right now. The plain GTX 660 is not far behind the 660Ti either if you want to keep the budget a bit lower. I reckon you might want to eye a new 23-24" monitor after having gotten a good graphics card.

Re: What to upgrade to
I'd go with the GTX 660 and not the GTX 660 Ti.
no offense but without a solid good overclock your looking at possible bottlenecking the stronger end of cards. the GTX 660 is an excellent mid-range card. but a 955BE @ 3.6-3.8GHz might do fine but a 955 (non BE) @ 3.2GHz is now a detriment in today's gaming age. and by the looks of your system specs your not even on a 1080p monitor so unless making some nice upgrades all the way around your rig then getting the GTX 660 Ti is a waste of finances.

Re: What to upgrade to
I think you need a new monitor first, then a new graphics card. For £200, you could look at a 1080p monitor (1080p's not great but unfortunately we can't get much better atm) and something like a used GTX460, 470, 560 etc. on Gumtree or eBay. Don't compete in auctions which typically sell for more than they're worth - instead be patient and keep an eye out for bargains in newly listed "Buy It Now".
I can't really think of any games that the Phenom II X4 @3.2GHZ is likely to pose a significant problem for in the near future, but maybe that's my own ignorance.

Re: What to upgrade to
I have the EVGA 660ti SC and it's getting bottlenecked terribly from my A8-3800. I didn't really factor that in before I purchased it. I upgraded from a 6670 so I'm still getting noticeable improvements, but def not what the card is capable of.

Well OP's CPU is significantly stronger than yours (around 20% I believe), but then again he's also playing at a lower resolution I think, which will worsen any CPU bottleneck.

(to me anyways for serious gaming..) let me explain something with my thinking / philosophy, I believe in very high settings is not good enough. extreme to ultra settings is what I like and if there is PhysX involved then even better. so why some people (blibbax) can game on lesser settings, I do not. that's not a diss towards him, I'm telling you how I am. so with AMD units (and I have had several in the past) for FM2 (APU) units the CPU would have to be an A10-5800K and for AM3+ CPU's right now it would have to be FX-8320/50 or the older 1100T / 980BE chips. anything else then has to be an Intel build. my opinion but remember, I also think a 955 @ 3.2GHz is now behind the times..

If you want your "ultra gaming" PC right now, imo it's Intel K series or bust.

strongest APU (FM2) is the A10-5800K, where is the confusion now that you understand.? and then I'm saying that if I was to have an APU like 'Marcan3308' then it would have to be that, not the A8 model that he has now, too weak. but I'm not building any AMD units anyways, your right K series Intel chip FTW.

Re: What to upgrade to
also let me add that the A10-5800K with it's 7660D graphics Crossfired with a HD 6670 leaves one with an awkward machine...
it's too much of a hybrid stuck in the middle of performance not a 1080p gamer and really more a strong HTPC. but then who really needs a quad core CPU for a HTPC.? I know it's been done but depending on usage, it's not really a HTPC. more a rig used to do videos and I consider that overkill.. but then AMD cores are weaker than Intel...
