My Notebook manufacturer (Gericom) has not released any new driver for the built in Geforce4 440 Go since more than one year (P4 Mobile, Win XP). Since the display has the quite uncommon resolution of 1280x854 I can not install the standard detonator driver. Where can I get a driver for Win XP that also provides 1280x854 ? Is there maybe something like a work around in order to "teach" the standard driver my special resolution ?

If you can hack the identification, the 53.x driver does have the capability to set custom resoloutions - but you have to be able to get it to come up in standard resolution, readable enough to use.
It might be possible to pre-hack the INF for additional resolutions. |

Try the dell support site. Select as laptop Latitude C840 and ask to get the video driver. I have a laptop running the same chipset in 1600x1200 with no pb.
