Which would you reccomend out of these cards:-

How will the FX5900XT perform with a game like Doom 3 ?

Is the Radeon 9800Pro 128MB AGP DDR DVI VO a better card and how would this perform with Doom 3?

Between those 2 cards, 5900XT is better. But Radeon 9800 Pro is better than both.
For Doom3, is a mid-range card...1024x768, High, no FSAA, no AF.

5900 for sure but the 9800 is better than both imo. It might be slightly slower in Doom 3 than the 5900(by 3-5fps) but it will rock it in any other game especially if DX9 based.

9800pro definitely, since the 5900xt is basically a dumbed down 5900.
