my graphic card was radeon 9000 vivo 64 mb agp.4x. I bought yesterdayxfx geforce 5500 fx. I run 3dmark 2001 se and 5500 fx scored 4582.
I overclocked it. it runs now @ core clock 325 mhz. / memory clock 465 mhz. I run 3d mark 2001 SE again. score was 6272. radeon 9000 vivo scored 7063. Why I am getting bad results with 5500 FX?? I installed the latest nvidia drivers. radeon 9000 result: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7708033 5500 FX result: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8133857 my system: p4 2.66ghz @ 2.7 ghz 512 mb pc 2700 ram 80 gb harddisk 7200 rpm. make sure you've loaded your chipset drivers
Use drivercleaner clean out all ati and nvidia drivers and the CP reboot you may have to use the nvidia fix option if you get a error about you card not being installed, or pci driver i forget the error message ATM. Use these nvida 66.32 drivers http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=866
