Gainward Geforce 4 FAN probs :'(

Well the good news is I contacted Gainward after my fan stopped working and they are sending me a replacement. Luckily I had a BIG! bay fan beside the card which kept it cool and on top of that I didn't get round to clocking it luckily

The strangest thing is that it is a Gainward Golden sample a card which is more expensive than the standard as it is renowned for it's overclocking

Anyone else had a similiar prob?

never had a problem with a fan, other than there was dust blocking the airflow.

Well I dont get any dust affecting the airflow, hell I dont even get any airflow ..lol

Maybee get a slot fan and put it just below it for now???

Yeah I have a big slot type fan beside it now and it appears to be doing the job to be honest

I'm touching wood(Chipboard actually ..lol)while I say this, but no really I think it should be ok as the Heaksink absorbs the initial heat and the fan beside is doing the job that the fan on the card is supposed to do

As log as you can keep it fairly cool you should'nt have a problem.

Though I must say that the card is very cool even under gaming conditions.

Here is a little update, well the nice guy at Gainward is going to send me the Ultra 750 fan kit(Basically the nice!! big one for the 4600 golden sample) YAY!
