Trouble OCing 7800's in SLi...HELP!

I have been working on this problem for 4 days now and can not figure it out!I cant OC.I have tried 4 different drivers.When I click on"Detect Optimal Frequencies" the little window will come up and the bar will start climbing.When it gets to a certin point the whole rig freezes up and I will have to restsrt.I have ran 3DMARK05 on each 7800 by itself and the scores are almost dead even so it's not a problem with the cards.You guys have any ideas?BIOS settings?I have no idea and I am STUMPED!I tried EVGA tech support and damned if I didnt know more about this thing than they did.....Thanks guys!

Does it measure both clock speeds with one bar?

Maybe you can try to do it manuely (not detect optimal performance) based on what others have said they are able to reach. Make sure all the connections or properly connected (which u already know, just stating for people who don't). Contact Nvidia about SLI, they would probably know more about it than EVGA.

Two exactly identicle cards right?

try manually OCing them, yes....or try the newest beta set out thsi week (81.36 or something like that)

yes,it does both at the same time and yes,both cards are the same animal.EVGA 7800GTX's.

Where did you find those bad boys?I looked on GURU of 3D and didnt see them??????OPPS!...Sorry,I just found them!!!

I tried these new drivers and my scores in 3DMARK05 went back to what they were{in the 11,500-12,000 range}but they wont let me OC AT ALL.The 1st set of SLi drivers that came out were the same way also.No OCing.So I know its the drivers and not my hardware.......Thanks!

try OC'ing 1 card @ a time, set them both to the same speed, then enable SLI.

So are you saying pull 1 card out and OC the 1 thats left?

I can't OC using coolbits either but RivaTuner and Powerstip work just fine(I think its a driver bug). But I get almost no gain by OCing, I think I'm still very cpu limited

Well,i'm sorry you cant eather but at least i'm not the only one.Surely it's a driver problem.
