Welcome to DH o2cls!
First of all, give us some of your system specs (processor, how much ram, manufaturer/brand, OS, etc.). Also tell us what game you are having trouble in. Next, I have a feeling is out of date video card drivers. Install the most recent ones available or try out the DHZer0points, they are great. 1) Download and install DriverCleaner http://www.drivercleaner.net/ 2) Uninstall your current drivers in add/remove software panel of windows 3) Restart your computer in safe mode (Press F8 at system post (black screen at system boot)) 4) Run drivercleaner of the nvidia filter, make sure to read all the isntructions. 5) Reboot your computer and install the NVIDIA 82.12 driver or the DHZer0points based on the 81.95 6) Reboot and check it out, thing should work fine. You may also want to check for chipset drivers for your motherboard, they can be found here Good luck and let us know how it works for you. |

What does artifacting usually mean? I have a major case of artifacting, every object has bits missing.

Its probably better to start a new thread with this problem, so we can troubleshoot just your own problem and not hijack the thread.
Include all relevant system and driver information and a screen shot of the problem use http://www.imageshack.us to host your screen shot. |

artifacting is usually a sing of a bad card, or overheating, but can sometimes just be a poor driver

yeah, if you're seeing yellor or white spots or squares then it's probably arctifacts. A few things to check... make sure you are running the newest drivers and see if that helps. Also, if your games have patches try them out. if not, then possibly updating your mobo bios and installing new chipset drivers will help. You can also underclock your video card to see if that does anything.
