9600xt to 6600gt driver problem
Ive installed a 6600gt into my pc. I unistalled drivers then used driver cleaner to get rid of all Ati related stuff. Then installed new gfx card and nvidia drivers. But now I keep getting freeze up thats can last upto a minute and also I get small portions of the screen going all garbled. Its running on a 460w PSU which I used to use for my A64 3700 6800GT system so it shouldn't be power related. If I can't find a fix I'll just have to format and reinstall

How about chipset drivers, are they up to date?
As a note, its best practice to always reformat after a major hardware change (videa card, mobo, proc). I would imagine this would fix your problem, though it is a pain sometimes. |
