Lithias420 is on a distinguished road

Someone put an end to this!

When friendly discussions go ugly...

I was having the aforementioned friendly discussion with a fellow RCC at the Sprint store I work at when things got rather heated after I said the single PCI-Express 512MB nVidia Geforce 7800GTX is superior to the PCI-Express 256MB nVidia Geforce 7800GTX SLI setup.

Apparently we're both right by our reasonings, so we need a third party to help settle it once and for all.

Depends on the game, but most times the 7800GTX SLI setup will beat out the 512 card, but not by much. As soon as you up the quality, such as Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering that gap widens by a lot in favour of the SLI setup.

Give the comparitive review Anandtech did HERE for more.

on paper, the 512 card has a slight advantage due to memory access times and not having to sync 2 cores, but in reality, due to the way SLi splits things up, especially AA and AF, as tippy pointed out, yes, SLi will come out on top increasingly so as you push those
