Image Quality Settings

Guys I just wanna ask if there are any visible difference between Nvidia's High Performance and High Quality settings, because I tried both, High Performance helps boost fps a little (a lot in some cases), but I can't seem to notice any difference (visually that is). Btw I'm not complaining, just curious. And could you give an example from some games. Thx in advance, sorry if my english is a bit messed up.
