I don't care for badge or country but those are the only three american cars I find look good and are actually worth the money you put down.

The Z06 is a monster but god is it ugly, has a horrible ride quality and from all the reviews I've heard or seen, it only should belong on a track. Anywhere else, it's hopeless.

ive ridden in a non Z06 and i can say that the ride quality is simply amazing. very very smooth and refined. easily the smoothest ride ive ever felt.

Mustang tranny's suck, dont even try to put it in 1st if youre moving, it will save life on your transmission. I don't know if they're still using t-5's or not but youre better off buying a brand new aftermarket transmission if a) you can afford it and B) If you plan on keeping the car for a long time. here's a website to a place that specializes in Ford racing drivetrains http://www.fortesparts.com/ I dont know if you want to go that far but the car is worth it.

HAHAHAHAHAHA omg that was the ultimate post ever... I have been in a non Z06 and it was horrendeous compared to a Porsche 911 Carrera S or a BMW M6... Simply bad!

And the Z06 has even rougher suspension than the standard so you'll break your back in one hour instead of one day.

I can imagine your C3 is bad but compared to other cars of its category, the C6 is a load of junk when it comes to ride quality... Go take a ride in a BMW or Porsche of similar type and compare the ride. The Corvette has a bone breaking ride compared to them! Come on, even my current heap of junk has better ride comfort!!

oh wow, i never knew about that lol, i'll defiently look into uprading the transmission then lol =/

the only time i ever go into first is at stops though so it really doesnt matter, and on road courses you should ever have to downshift to 1st, autox eh idk normally you just stay in second the whole time.

Heh, don't even try to compare the luxury and ride quality of cars like BMWs =/

after riding in my friends e46 325 for a while, then going into my stang it was like night and day difference lol.

Yeah CDs, i see videos like that all the time, the cars will be slowly gaining on the turns but the sheer power of the corvette most always over comes them heh

Kalder, it's not unfair. Okay, a Porsche Carrera S which is a SPORTS car means it's really made for cornering and high speeds. Thus, the suspension ain't mellow but stiff and decent so that the car can actually stick on the road. Yet, german engineers manage to keep suspension stiff and great without sacrficing comfort.

Unlike corvette which just thinks: "No suspension = sporty"

Oh and last I heard, a corvette was supposed to be a sports car and thus, it's very easily comparable to a Porsche 911. Hell, the corvette is america's 911.

The c6 has one of the most advanced suspension systems ever put in a car, designed bythe fellas up at Lotus and tested by the fellas at Chevy Racing....your little euro artsy fartsy "we're too good for H.O. motors" mobiles may ride nice, but they're hardly the leaps and bounds ahead of our beloved vette.

as for riding like a it has no suspension at all...you have clearly never ridden in a true muscle car, have you? [Camaro, Chevelle, GTO, Charger, etc]



Also, on the new Mustangs, they have tremec transmissions....the v6 has the crappy one [t300, i think], and the GT has a BEAUTIFUL gearbox....the t360 i believe. The v6 and GT difference in gearboxes alone is night and day, engine aside.




PS - Sandok: the Ford GT is a pile of garbage...it's an exotically powered jail cell...the inside is rubber and brushed aluminum, with analog hat switches.....and then a $5500 McIntosh Stereo...and it rides on $4,000 wheels, and has $6,500 worth of racing stripes on it.....it's only got 550-ish HP....granted re-chipping it can put you up towards 900, but by then its barely controllable and slides all voer the damned place.....get a real race car


The focus is the lowest model car ford makes, btw...we sell those to people who can't afford a Fusion Mustang or 500 and don't want a Truck

lol...true....as for the bit about the ford GT and the focus....that really is true...the GT is quite possibly the LEAST comfortable car....ever...think "Lotus Exige" and you're on the right track as far as ammentities go.


And the focus MAY be a different story in europe, i dunno...but here it's a ghetto budget car commonly used as a "first car" or a "rental"

first car?! not even! well, that is if you're latino/hispanic like me . usually you'll be getting the beat up car that's been sitting in the driveway for 3-8 years growing vegetation from under the wheel wells, having spiders create their webbing under the chassis, and the sun beating down on the top of the car causing the paint peel and the metal rust

I don't care whether a car is a Euro or not... That has nothing to do with it... I'm just telling you that I was in the states and a friend of my dads has the C6 and went around for a drive... Then, later the same vacation a friend of my dad's (again) had a 911 S and trust me, BOTH are sports cars unless i'm mistaken and only one of them was good for my back... The porsche

Why do you care if it has 900 bhp? It's as faster than a 360 and honestly, it's a bargain for the price since it still gives plenty of good ride quality (FOR A SUPERCAR), has plenty of torque and most of all, it's a legend coming back to life... I mean, it's an amazing car and from what I saw at the Geneva Auto show, the inside is really awesome. Modern yet stylish but hell, to each his own.

I think what he means is, like me, I had my race car phase as well I had a 79 camaro an 84 camaro and i totally converted a 2.3l 89 mustang into a V-8 monster. But after its all send and done you just want to get into your car and turn the key, Thats why i now drive a 2002 hyundai elantra lol

Oh come on... That's nit picking! As if the suspension is different for the rider... It's the same car! The only thing that changes is that the driver can hold the steering wheel for even LESS gforce = less acurate

How is that being picky? It was always my understanding that to get a true feel of how a car handles, you must be the driver. Does it work differently in Europe?

about the whole escort thing, just because there was one good escort made doesnt mean all escorts were good. it would be the equivlent of saying that a special performance yugo got a 4 banger, decent suspension, and brakes in it instead of an inline 3 and complete lack of suspension and brakes that standard yugos get.
