Yeah I have noticed most people don't notice it.. I must scroll a lot because I have tried FF MANY times.. couldn't get used to the no- "middle mouse click- move mouse down- scroll like lightning IE"...

I wish I could make a movie of the difference and why I need the speed if IE. I tried all the FF mods and they didn't help. IE uses more CPU I think, but it puts the cycles to good use when I want to get to the bottom of a 100 post page..

FF also has the middle mouse move superfast thingy mate.. Well not as fast as IE but since IE takes longer to load a page, I guess it sorta comes back to the same on my PC...

Oh and I NEED tabs. Much faster DHing like that!

Yeah I know the middle mouse works.. it is just a lot slower.. I searched plug ins for weeks.. tried them all.. the fastest one is way slower..

Another thing is I don't like tabs, so besides security and a few other things, FF offers no benefit for me.. (I make IE secure via adjustments in the options, etc)

What was this thread about again?

Well I hate tabs. I never use them and I just make everything open in a new page so I see it down at the start menu.

This Thread is about cars! lol

So I just found out I really suck at manual or I am just having to much fun with my mustang!

I keep track of my miles per gal and from one tank I got 205 miles. And When I filled up it cost me $40 and it's a 14 gal tank. So I did the math at 13.5 gal becasue it was not empty and found out I only get 15 miles per gal I think I need to drive better and shift and keep my RPM's low!

yeah it depends a HUGE amount on how you drive. I had a car once that if I drove it slow and easy I could get about 26 MPG, and if I leaned on it I would get as little as 15MPG. It was a crazy little 2.2L turbo car... would suck gas down very fast if not careful.

Oh yeah, it would house mustang 5.0's back then too.

WOW thats cool.

But I got the v6 for better gas miles so I am happy I did not get the V8. Well thats not the only reason becasue insurance would be a lot higher and repairs but gas was one of the bigger factors.

Wow man... seems like it should be better with the V6, but they are pretty high performance v6's aren't they? Not crazy, but pretty fast still I thought. Some of those 350 V8's actually get really good gas mileage if you are easy on them because they hardly have to work at all because they have so much torque.
- of course it is too much fun to go easy on them.

No kidding BMX if I had a V8 I would go crazy with it! Maybe I will get over gas miles and just enjoy the car! Gas is not always $3/gal like it was today

the new 2006 corvettes can do 30mpg if driven slowly and calmly.

my vette does anywhere between 8 and 10mpg, maybe 12 if i really baby it. but because it gets such piss poor mileage anyways, i hammer the hell out of it most times. much more fun to go fast then to go slow.

When I started driving I was paying 98 cents a gallon... it quickly went to $1.10 and everyone thought it was the end of the world. When it hit $1.60 people were ready to kill. Soon it will be $4.50 a gallon and we will all be in sub compacts again...

BWX, i use IE. i've tried FF many many times, and i cannot get used to it enough to use it on my own computer at home. where i used to work i used it because they didn't allow to use IE, but i hated it every single time i did use it

ummm....as for gas mileage.....my 8 got anywhere from 12Mpg to 25Mpg depending on how i drove it. my average was about 17Mpg though. And that was from a 1.3L two rotor rotary engine . who needs pistons to get piss poor gas mileage . lol

i heard on the radio the other day, that what we're paing for gas today, is equivalent to the oil crisis back in the 70's once inflation has been adjusted.

Well I just don't understand why people are letting this go? In no way are we short on gas or will be... I think once it his a point people are going to riot or something.

I am not sure what the biggest gas companys are but since I do know Mobil is a big one I never buy gas from them and never BP. I will buy from Shell and kwik trip (might not know that one but they are around Wisconsin area) and Thats about it. Once and a while I will pay phillips 66.

gas is the one thing that people cannot do much of anything about. prices will raise and drop as the gas companies wish. it's all politics really, and the blame game started on 9-11. dunno if anybody recalls that shortly after 9-11 our economy in general went down the tube, and it's just now starting to crawl up

i really want a jetta....but ATM, i can't get one. i want at the very minimum a '99-'01 1.8T 5spd. MT.

the 2.0 is ok, but it's not enough power for me , lol....i guess i've gotten accustomed to the power of the 8. i hope it can handle better than my mom's car does. my 8 stuck to the ground like white on rice , my mom's car on the other hand......can't turn it too hard cuz it feels like it'll roll over.....damn body roll .

but yea.....a summer job and a pretty heavy debt on my shoulders (w/o car payements) is already alot. I mean, if i knew that this job were permanent part time, then yea, i'd go ahead and buy me that jetta ASAP, but knowing that i won't have a job by the time summer is done and over with, it's not going to happen right now.

I was just reading in Kwik Trips website and I kind of already knew this but for people who think Premium is the best unless you need it for super/turbo it's a waste of money!

"The Truth About Octane
Gasolines are generally rated with an anti-knock index (AKI) number that measures octane quality. Determined by engine tests in octane, this number reflects a gasoline's ability to resist engine knock. Engine knock is a heavy rapping noise that can lead to loss of power or mechanical damage. A fuel's octane number does not mean higher quality, performance or improved miles per gallon. It is only the level to which the gas combats knocking. Most cars today are designed for regular unleaded gasoline with an octane number of 87. For a severe knocking problem, for example, an 89 octane fuel will prevent knocking more effectively than an 87. If your car runs knock-free on a lower octane fuel, it is a waste of money to buy high octane fuel. Consult the owner's manual for your car's recommended octane level."

Also I wanted to ask is it true that if you should not use Premium and Regular? I mean like switching between the two?
