Uwe Boll Challenges Critics to All-Out Brawl

I really don't know, but judging by his reaction (which I probably shouldn't do) they can't be good.

His name sounds familiar though, maybe I'll pick on of them up.

Edit: I thought his name was familiar. Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead were some of the worst movies I've ever seen. Eck I still have a bad taste in my mouth from watching them.

Let us not forget how bad Blood Rayne was, and so far early reports are that the Dungeon Siege movie is going to be a flop too. So, to be technical, he's 0 and 3, with a possible 4th flop.

BTW, I don't know about Roger Avery, but Quentin would kick that Boll ass all over the place.

alone in the dark was bad, but watchable.

house of the dead.... he went to great lengths to make a zombie movie suck terribly.

i havnt seen blood ryne yet, waiting for it to be a freebie at the rental store.

There is only one video game movie that I believe to be at least halfway decent. That movie would have to be Silent Hill.

As far as best horror movie ever?
Dawn of the Dead - gotta love the white preppy chick gettin cut in half with a chainsaw for no apparent reason and Burt Renolds getting sniped.

ya, silent hill was pretty good. the other one 2 i liked, that im sure ill hear no end of, were Mortal Kombat and Super Mario Bros.

they didnt follow the games much, but they were an entertaining watch at hte very leat.

I caught, Mortal Kombat:Annihilation (I think it was) on cable a couple weeks ago.

I thought it was quite watchable and was impressed with some of the special FX.

BloodRayne just about had me ready to walk out on it.

The 2 best lines I have ever heard about Uwe Boll:

"There is nothing certain in life except death, taxes... and any game adapted to film, or any film for that matter by Uwe Boll, will suck!"

and

"BloodRayne is an absurd sword-and-sorcery vid-game adaptation from schlock-maestro Uwe Boll, featuring a distinguished (and slumming) cast."

To date BloodRayne has pulled in a grand total of only $5.5 million. It cost $47 million to make and market. Ontop of that not one of the cast acknowledge that they ever worked on it.

Uwe is right about one thing though, I never finished watching Alone In The Dark... it was more like Sleep In The Dark for me, litteraly! How did this man ever get to be able to direct all these movies... the only good thing about Bloodrayne was the intro and credits, it was really well done... after that it was kinda mediocre down to awful at some spots.

I never could figure out why Ben Kingsley, with all of his classic style and star quality, would ever agree to work on something as awful as BloorRayne.

I'm sure his stock plummeted as a result.

They should be ashamed. Its obvious these actors take a huge chunk of cash cause in every flick he does the cast is outstanding or has a big name dramatic actor in there. Was MK: Annihilation by Boll? God I should have known that movie stunk so bad and that would be the only movie of his I've actually seen.

Having a superstar director as producer is no guarantee of success but I like that MS has approval of all aspects of production and they surely won't let it get screwed up. The fact that 2 studios are paying for the cost also tells you it will be a big budget. Only downside is you have to submit your Halo movie ticket for geniune authentication at the door and some theatres get the Halo movie patch with extra scenes.

True. Peter Jackson has had his share of bad movies but he improved. Uwe Boll on the other hand is a joke and I'll never understand why any studio would give him the light of day in making movies after all his bad ones.
