DriverHeaven's Fridge

Hey guys!
My M:Robe 100 has recently stopped working due to bad hard drive - it fails to work. So, I searched the net for some ideas like buying a new HDD and stuff. After a small searched I have came to the following conclusions: 1. The M:Robe100 uses Seagates's ST1 hard drive of 5GB. 2. Seagate has made a few versions of the ST1 HDD, from 4GB to 8GB at the same fisical size! 3. It has also made a new version of allmost the same size wich is named ST1.3 - It is a little smaller in size, faster, alot more reliable (A few new technologies) and has a larger capacity (Up to 12GB!). And so I thought: Hey! why should I send my M:Robe100 to repair if I can simply buy a new HDD that will make it MUCH better?! *Note: I have yet managed to get one of these HDD for it is not available in Israel so I Haven't yet checked if it works, but, there's absolutly no reason why it shouldn't. I have contacted a company here in Israel to bring these HDD and once they'll have it I sure am going to try it. **Changing the HDD of the M:Robe100 requires taking it apart which will unvalid any warrenty so do this ONLY if you are sure of you'r actions and are not a silly little boy triyng to mess up his brother's M:Robe!**

Don't worry about it, the files needed on the HDD are available on the net. just put the HDD and copy the files into it, and Vwalla!

that'd work
though make sure you use a drive w/ the same # of platters, my mp3 player has a double platter drive, making the whole unit thicker than it's smaller single plattered drive brother
