App. to burn music to DVD??
I got a sweet sweet 5.1 DTS system that plays audio CD's and DVD's, but not mp3 discs.

Anyone know of a (preferably) free app that you can burn music to a dvd so that it'll play as a dvd??

(just music, not music vids etc)

Just load up your favorite MP3s in Windows Media Player, pop in a blank DVD and burn away.....

It will change them to CDA format.

I had misread an article about this. WMP 10 and 11 do not support burning to DVD. I was mistaken about that.

But, if you were to transfer them first to CD then you could use your regular burning software to transfer the new files to a DVD. Might be more than you want to do, but, it would work.

I just gave this one a try and it won't recognize the DVD burner....only CDs.

Hmm... Nero don't have DVD-Audio support... do your DVD player support DVD audio?

BTW. Did some digging on the net. You cant burn CD-Audio files on DVD ...

True, but you should be able to burn .wav files to it and they should be played by anything, AFAIK .cda is just a .wav file

nero will mane a wma dvd and a nero digital audio dvd, dunno which would help you though.

yeah, the plan was to burn a dvd with .wav files so's it would play as a dvd (cos the player doesn't recognise wma, mp3), I figured there would be a prog out there to do that, but seems not as simple as I thought.
I'll have a play around and see what I come up with.

At the moment, only supports:
16/24 bit stereo
16 bit (24 untested) mono
At all supported sample rates - though 48kHz/16 bit may have the best player comparibility.

thanks matth, but I couldn't understand the readme for that prog, so didn't get it installed.

found a couple of progs that work nicely (sounds sooooo good ) , but still a little unwilling to cough $50 odd for a prog that I'll probably only use 2 - 3 times, so I'll see.

anybody stumble across some freeware / shareware please don't hesitate to get in touch though
(or if anyone can figure out how to install the one mat posted lol )
