Impressive setups. Zardon's wins because of the sheer amount of monitors though

Well for e-penis sake, 2 dell 3007's and 3 Acer AL1951's hooked to one machine is what i maxed out at. Combined with a HDMI connected 52" LCD Samsung HDTV.
i didn't have enough room.. but it was kinda amusing and absalutely counter productive for the afternoon when i had nothing much to do put toy around.

mine's embaressingly poor to say the least(still can't make card reader work, piccy's will come later) I have an old 4 channel sony amp powering my computer and minidisc deck, a kickass 5.1 aiwa (< seriously, even though I had to have the laser replaced 3 times, it rules ), and a cheap shitty 5.1 system for my gaming tv, and the tv is a 28" (i think) LG flatron. you know, one of those big old CRT's with the flat screen. does the job for the GC and PS2 anyways ![]() every time I build a media center one of the kids comps stops and they end up with it, and I'm too poor to buy more stuff atm lol |

dark_lord wins...he has an old school box of tinker toys....and thus,...is my new hero.
As for mine...it isn't worth picturing. It's a Gateway FPD2185 HD Monitor running off a Belkin Pure|AV Gold DVI cable. I HAD an ATi HDTV Wonder running cable when I lived in the apartment, but here at home, we have Dish network, and thus, no extra outlets, but I'm switching to camcast, so I'll have it again soon. For my listening pleasure, I've the same amazing speaker set as big Z [Cambridge Gigaworks s750 700 watt 7.1 THX Surround] running off an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro I'm next year to get a HTPC to replace this behemoth and run Blu Ray/HDTV over HDCP enabled DVI to this awesome monitor with it. |

Mine is very similar to yours asmoday...at least sound wise. I have a 27" flat jvc iart now, but will be moving to a large lcd like yours soon. And, I have a yamaha receiver - it sounds great for being cheap.

Here's mine. A 22" hp p1230 monitor and a 17" ViewSonic E70f. I don't use the ViewSonic monitor much anymore because it feels too small when beside the other monitor. A basic tv from Sharp. I also have an old "portable" tv. This thing is heavy, the picture and sound quality are bad and I never use it. I picked it up in the trash of a neighbor. I use an headphone ampliffier I built myself. It's the black box under the tv. I also use a basic 2.1 sound system from Altec Lansing. Don't forget the fire extinguisher. You never know when you might start a fire when soldering or doing other stuff.

Can't afford a new t.v but just upgraded the sound system. Small room with great small bookshelf speakers and a big subwoofer (Cambridge Soundworks) mated to a Harmon Kardon 7.1 receiver makes for some pretty awesome movie viewing. I ususally don't remove the speaker grills but they are butt ugly with them on

Admittedly, I haven't bought anything nice for the A/V system since the Yamaha reciever back in 1999 or so - the TV is the latest addition bought in 2000 I think - most of my "discretionary" money goes into computer related stuff now - but the technology and how it's used is converging. I bought the speakers back in 1990 or so - they'll likely last me the rest of my life.
