Official What are you buying on Black friday?
With all the Retail and E-Tail stores going on sale tomorrow I know a bunch of us are picking up that peice of equipment weve been eyeing for a while.
So where are you shopping, What/who are you shopping for. Gettin up at 5am to wait in line or are you just going in later in the day and hoping theres still stuff left? I'm not going to be doing any shopping, its car insurance and rent week so im flat broke, So share with me your shopping plans/stories and I can live vicariously through you

screw that waiting in line crap. I'm pre-ordering a Wii from a trusted site (money's permitting). should be here mid december.

Black Friday is the largest shopping day of the year here in the states. It's the day where all the largest/best sales are going on and stores want you to buy everything they have.
I for one am not buying anything tomorrow. If i do, it will be totally spontaneous. And the things i'm looking for would be for me....my x-mas shopping won't start until next pay day

Im in the uk so as a tribute I had a murky grey thursday. Bought myself a new HP printer/scanner/copier and 3 DVD's oh and of course she had to outdo me £ for £ but God only knows where these clothes will go

I bought myself a heater for the bathroom today. But I don't live in the US so it wasn't on sale. Oh, well. Had I been in the US, I'd have probably stood at 4AM at the entrance to Best Buy to get a ticket for a $250 laptop.

working (or rather sitting aat my job not doing a damn thing). Would go shopping anyway, though BestBuy was having some killer sales. I've spent all the money I need to spend this year. New house, 5 acres of land, new computer, games, guns, bike wheels, the list goes on & on. I've been very lucky this year & if I can just end up not in debt I'll be a very happy man.

This is the biggest scam day of the year. I am so sick of these advertised prices and then you get there and the price is including three or four different mail in rebates. The items that are normally under msrp throughout the year suddenly go back up to msrp and they add a few rebates and call it a sale. Or you get there and the big sale items are all gone because they only had a handful and they were all gone in the first ten minutes of the store being open. If you really want to save some cash do not buy from a retail store EVER unless it is for a clearance item like last years model or open box that is cut at least in half off of msrp. An online store like newegg or zzf or frozencpu are at least twenty percent cheaper than the big retail chains. The only items that are not cheaper are the priceFIXED items like the 360 and newly released digital media like games and movies and music.

/jeolous just woke up to find my friend and his mom both bought 32" LCD HDTV's from Home Depot. I wouldnt normally be so jeolous but my friend always gets money handed to him by other people and his mom buys crap and never uses it ( Bought a New Dell PC 3 weeks ago, still sitting it its box " Im waiting till we move to set it up" They arent moving for atleast another month)

My friends had been camping outside a bestbuy since 5pm yesterday. So I went and joined them at about 2am and I scored myself a very nice 22inch LCD for $200 (300 off instant) and I got a 250WD mybook for 40 bux instant, and some cheap DVD movies. But yeah, this screen is gorgeous and I finally have space on my desk

Saying I should be goin faster and such. Well what they need to know is its not my fault they are too dumb to ask their kids 6 months before Christmas what they want so they can ensure they get it. Its just like man, how many years does it take for people to learn this sh*t. I don't mind people waiting last minute, or waiting for sales. Just be prepared not to get what you want. |

I got 2 1gb SD cards, $8 a piece, 80 AA batteries for $4, I wanted to get a $399 laptop (amd 64 turion 1.6ghz 60gb hd, 512mb ram (1 stick), xp home etc just so i could have a laptop someday). I also got some damn good cooking stuff from Shopko (all bakeware 50% off), a new vaccum $13, umm more batteries :P, some sheets / towels, i know theres more but i can't remember. but i had a blast. I love watching all the crazy people, its what i find fun (wish i had a digi cam again).
oh yeah i didn't get a laptop they only had 8 and I wasn't going to stand in line for 4 hours to get it.
