Well I am a much newer member than most of the regulars here. I have only started visiting daily (several times too) only during the last few months. So perhaps I can't say I know "you" or you enough to flame you, instead I will just point a thing or two.
You are trying to run this forum as perhaps you might a business. The problem is not your attitude, but that people are not used to such a "behaviour" in a forum.

Having said that, I don't see how people can have real complains about you here. As far as I know you are reasonable and you let people do and say things that in other respectable forums would not be able to do so. I find this forum one of the best and it is a joy to be a regular here. So, you (and the staff and mods here, and of course the rest of us) must be doing something good.

Hmm, ok, it doesn't sound like a flame post. Let me think...fuck it. You are reasonable and as far as I know you must have done something bad to have "flame feelings" for Zardon.

You do however know Bluemak that DH is actually a business right? We employ people full time etc. So im not really sure what you mean by im running the forum like a business. You mean the forum is too oppressive? we need to lighten up, sack the mods and let you guys just run free and wild with no clothes on? that kind of deal?

Also people think i own the site on my own... I actually dont. Im just the public figurehead, however the site is really important to me, id like to think even with my faults that you guys like the place as much as me. I doubt it though, out of the 10 sites ive started this is my favourite.

The reason I started this thread is really because I just wanted you guys able to air your views and vent, rant or say whatever you want without feeling im going to boot you off the site. Think of it as unmoderated feedback except its in the offtopic forum because im too hard on you all in the feedback section, right

I don't know the details, so no, I didn't know it was a full time business for you. Still, my point is not that you should let things run free, that would eventualy ruin the forum. I did not mean that the forum is too oppressive. What I meant was that at times it feels like you are running it like a business, and people are not used to it. Nothing more, nothing less. I am not saying it is a good thing, I am not saying it is a bad thing, just what I see.

The "business" I mentioned is not about the forum on itself, but how you appear/talk to some times. As in Zardon, not DH. For example another thread in the off topic that you closed and said some things about Judas. Yes it is your forum and site and you have every right, but there is no reason to talk to Judas like this. You believe that for any off beat comment from Judas, DH will suffer? Ok, let me try to be a bit more clear about the business comment. Some few times you act like a store (owner) where there are no refunds, a customer goes in there, buys something, for whatever good or not reason he asks to return it, you say "no, fuck off".
The guy knows you run the place, he knows (or should know) that there is a no refund/return policy, there is still no reason to act like that to him, especialy in public where all members and guests can see it. It is just not nice.

DH has already suffered because of Judas, and it is my fault, I put too much faith in him in the past and it has backfired, perhaps im more pissed off at myself for making him a gold member and staff member in the past. There are many threads in which Judas has offered appalling advise and I have ended up with reports from moderators via newbies on this advice. Gold members at that stage were people who reflected on the site. However as I said, you guys want honesty, thats cool. So a part of my irritation is at myself.

This isnt offensive to me, im here to make sure the site runs the best way it can, if that means I have to do things I wouldnt normally do, and call people out on things, ill do it. Ok, I've seen you on occasion go off on someone for what seemed very little reason whatever, but I can understand that you must put up with a hell of alot of immmature crap here and nobody's got endless patience. It's your right as owner to go off on someone anytime you feel like it. On the other hand I've also seen you be incredibly polite to someone who frankly deserved to be reemed, and I'm sure I've seen it happen more than the former case, so overall I wouldn't say you're an arse. On occasion I've had to PM Zardon and his staff for various things and i've received a prompt answer which has answered my query fully not just a 1 word brush off. What do they ask in return? Fuck all, nothing, nada. Hell go and spend £10,000 on a car then email the owner of the garage you'll not get the same service you get for free here.
As you can tell i'm shit at flameing so i've used this as an opportunity to point out all the good you do.

Leanwolf ive a ton of faults - and yes I guess I unload on people sometimes but I try not to do that - which is hard for me as being irish i just am constantly trying to check myself for being "too honest" with people - it has got me into trouble most of my life on various levels, this thread isnt some weird bonding exercise with me and the members either, that would be pretty sickening. I can't really ever be one of the guys as I have to keep a certain distance and I can't really do these threads often either as they will scare off the newbies, but hell i try and keep that distance with you guys as minimal as possible. I don't think a forum/site really suceeds with the owners not caring. This is kind of why I opened the thread and sacrificed friday night talking to you guys. Most of my mods will think im mad doing this, but hey life is short and I know a lot of you guys call DH your online "home", so id rather you knew I gave a damn than being this hardass (lameass?) all the time.
