torrents and stuff

i dont want any of those client softwares that download torrents....isnt there a web based solution? (to get torrent files)

do you mean a website that downloads a torrent for you?

not sure if such a thing exists, though if you want to use opera, it has a built in torrent client

Opera has build in support for them. In addition to it being a very very good browser.

Azureus is a java torrent client that may be what you need

Of all the torrent apps, I think Utorrent is the best and about the easiest to use.

I don't know of anyone who hosts the full contents of files anymore unless they do it via bit torrent, which disperses the burden / costs / potential risks among many people.

If you want to try Utorrent (a single executable, very small), I can help with your config.

Do you have a DSL or CABLE router at home like a Linksys or something?

Hey - why not try USENET? You know, the standard Newsgroups? You can download almost all the same stuff from there I believe.

Utorrent is real easy to set up (even my gf can use it) , and it's really light weight to boot.
imo your best bet
