Harsh. Not sure what to make of it, but it sure does seem sad. I do NOT think this smacks of a frivolous lawsuit...

The KC Police at its finest. They should of took her seriously and if it turned out to be false then they can charge her accordingly.

Being a federal police officer myself i can tell you that a traffic stop is when we are at a great risk because of the obvious, you sit in your car we walk up... u can see where i'm coming from... now when we are trained we are taught officer preservation. in this case where he said it was excuses are completely... retarted but Officers of the law are people too... these 2 just made an EXTREMLY bad judgement call IMO

Doesn't matter their still investigating, this usually means the department does
NOT suspect them of wrong doing / suspect legal charges coming. This is
usually what they do as "PR" until the heat and media frenzy cools off. At most
they may loose their job...I'd think.. not as serious

When they suspend "without pay" means they know their going to be fired and likely
charged... shows their in hot water....

Sure they were "willfully negligent", they didn't acknowledge her claims, take her
to the hospital as they should have! Sure they where aware, but as they here likely
just as negligent in looking into this seriously the so evidence was lost...
