Saddam's Writings
Well, if you've read up a little on Saddam, you'd know that he's a writer. Zabibah and the King, is, I believe, his most popular piece. It is a romance novel, was made into a musical, and allegedly, is also an allegory (the rape of Zabiba is allegedly a reference to the Gulf War; Zabibah and her husband are killed on January 17 -- the same day Desert Shield began) of Western aggression.
At any rate, if anyone is interested, this novel is actually available for purchase. Where? Why, Amazon.fr, of course! |

I suppose the depends on your definition of "free." To some, socialized health care constitutes freedom. To others, the right of the people and the press to question the official government position is what "free" means*. It just depends on your own interpretation.
-- * In France, it is actually illegal to question the Holocaust. This law (The Fabius-Gayssot Act) was passed in 1990. |
