What's Your Bandwidth?
I just did a new Bandwidth Test using SpeedTest.net. Several members here had tried it out some time ago. This is my latest result.
I've been VERY pleased at downloads recently with my Comcast Cable connection. Some of these downloads are coming through at 1.5-2.5 MB/sec. (Yes, I wrote that correctly! It's not Mbits/sec, it's MBYTES/sec.)

I'm connected via 2048 / 128 ADSL, real speeds - down: a little over 210 KBps, up: < 16 KBps.
I can't post speedtest.net results because it requires Flash... |

![]() Edit- Btw Dyre, Comcast has a new thing called PowerBoost(?) that temporarily boosts speeds to double what you pay for. It's free but the bastards do give it to you unless you ask. Worth looking into if its available in your area ![]() Edit- From http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ Last edited by dipstick; Apr 8, 2007 at 07:33 PM. |

I currently have a 16mb adsl internet connection from sky.com.And from the uk my results may differ to that reason.
This only costs me £10 PM,but can be quite problematic at times. Any way this is the first run from the link Dyre supplied.

It's odd. I get my worst results when I try running the test to and from right here in Atlanta.
