Telescope
I am looking for a telescope to give to a kid age 11-12. She is interested in astronomy, though she knows nothing about. I want to help her as much as I can to pursue any interest in science, she is clever and I hate the idea of her going to waste. It will have to be cheap (unfortunately under £100), but not just a toy. I want it to be good enough so that she doesn't feel like "oh this is crap". In few years that I will have money I will get her something better if she is still interested.
Unfortunately I don't know anything about telescopes so I would appreciate any help to be in the "this model" category instead of giving me specs. ![]() Oh, and she is not my daughter. She is a cousin of mine.

You may want to check out this one: http://www.dhinds.co.uk/pages/celestron-70eq.php
Probably around 100 Euros or so. Anothe rone, for probably a tad more would be http://www.dhinds.co.uk/pages/celestron-114eq.php The first one would be virtually no maintenance, the second a slight amount of maintenance but would have better visual results.
