Started new job today!

Started working today in Phase 3 tech support. I've been told that if it comes to Phase 3 it's been so screwed up by 1 and 2 it will be a miracle if we manage to get it up and running again. I really enjoy it but getting up at 4:45am to be in at 6:30 am is killing me right now. Cannot believe some of the funny (not at the time of course) stories they told me of some of their experiences. Anyone here have stories working in tech support that are funny or hard to believe? I'm amazed at how for better words to describe dumb people can be.

My father told me a story of when he used to work for tech support at some company (several years ago) that he got a call saying that "my coffee holder fell off when I put my coffee cup on it". The customer was referring to his CD drive

Hi Frodo and congratz on your new jog, lotsa luck, mate!

I don't know any tech support stories, but I was in a shop one time (elctronic parts shop) and someone came in and asked in a very authoritarian voice for capacitors of 1000W - for the record, power is not a relevant measurement on capacitors and is never rated.
