Holy freakin' Pumpkins!!!

Yes, its another SP thread by me, but....I got tickets to a Smashing Pumpkins show!

I can't tell you how exciting this is for me, I'm totally freaking out. Its something of a life long dream to see them in concert. I was so hard up , I called and asked my mother to buy them for me as an X-mas gift. Well, she did, and I'm going to Pittsburgh on October 9th!! Anyway, ignor the star-struck idiot, and carry on.

Awesome, I'd love to see them in concert, but my air-fare budget is restricted to my snowboarding activities, and nobody big plays within driving distance of where I live.

Saw them once during their peak I don't think I'd see them these days unless their new album is mind blowing.

Its pretty amazing, much heavier than most were expecting. A nice breathe of fresh air from the current rock scene. If you have ten bucks to spend on music, its worth it.

Picked up Zeitgeist, pretty much what I expected after listening to the singles.

Better than their last few efforts, not as good as Mellon Collie.

The first Pumpkins' album I bought was Mellon Collie, and none of their other albums are nearly as good for me, although Gish and Siamese Dream are good in their own right.

Funny that only Corgan and Chamberlain are left from Mellon Collie, but Corgan really drove the band, so I don't see that the other members make a whole lot of difference to his efforts.
