Default Post My COSMOS: COSMOS Weblog & Website Review

Introduction
Cooler Master recently launched its first new design chassis flagship into the market this year, known as COSMOS 1000, around the world on August 2007. The COSMOS 1000 product was very well response and impressed by many PC hardware reviews and received excellent test result scores on the internet. Of course, that did not stop the COSMOS focusing only in the online hardware reviews website; it was also featuring on the front page and published in the popular magazines at Maximum PC and Dream Machine. Not only did it impress the press, the COSMOS 1000 chassis also comes with two years warranty and suggest at an affordable retail price around US$200.00? ^^

Due to the popularity, Cooler Master has launched their very own official website called COSMOS Micro Site and My COSMOS weblog. Another big returns favor for loyal CM supporter and Cosmos owner around the worldwide to connect for opportunities to learn more about their latest Cosmos update released chassis product, exclusive news and stories of their awards including a one stop meeting place for catching up future Cosmos developments and special events (I’m sure everyone is forward on this one) like contests and modding.

Official COSMOS Micro Site
The official website is the heart of one stop Cosmos information center for every CM fans and buyer or even fresh builder who wants to learn more about the products they are getting and looking for availability in the current countries. The website provide a very good inside details and access to 3D flash video showing 360 degree COSMOS 1000 demo preview chassis. It also includes explaining on its thermal technology, interior and outer appearance designs. There is also a paper craft available and assembly instructions for free download. It was sad that CM didn’t include any wallpaper download.

Official My COSMOS Weblog
Normally, not many industries who manufacture chassis that really bother want to start a weblog as it doesn’t bring much reader attentions. I’m not sure how many chassis weblog are currently active or setup around on the World Wide Web. But currently I have only one in my mind right now that take place not longer ago after COSMOS Micro Site officially launched. Starting weblog is not easy, especially for the industrial company, honestly. However, this would be a biggest surprise to many of us and interesting from what we are going to see what the Coolermaster guys might post into the blog, which is the reason why every Cosmos owner or lovers shouldn’t missed out this weblog.

Of course, for now, the most interesting news about My COSMOS is the latest additions Cosmos event contest currently started running in 3rd September (it’s already started by the time you read this). Coolermaster is giving away more than $4000 dollars in prizes for CM members under any four categories contest. Best Reviewer, Most Creative Participant, Most Popular Creation and Most Active Participant. The contest will last until end of September. This is yet another great opportunity to join the contest for those who missed out the previous Coolermaster 15th anniversary events. You really can’t find any company like CM giving away free great products. (Visit the COSMOS event site to participate)

However, in order to joined this contest or any future events. You must first be a current CM website or new registers members. Moreover, the CM website member is free! So what are you guys waiting for? (Register location link)

What’s missing at My COSMOS?
I said before, starting an industrial weblog is not easy. I found there are few missing posts at My COSMOS. The first missing post I found, as many of you who visit hardware news site often might already knew about the latest news from Cooler Master, that Cosmos chassis will be updated with a sportier look in time for the holiday season this year. The new Cosmos Sport will add a racing theme to the product line and will be available with different color options. This news was not posted in the weblog.

The second missing post is the latest news about the Cosmos add-on accessories. I’m sure everyone is excited awaiting the news from them. However, I spotted the 12 cm Fan Bracket for Cosmos was already added in the official CM product website. Cosmos owner were not aware of this and is not posted at My COSMOS weblog. As I have to go all the way to the CM site to check out the latest products update over there.

As for the third missing post? Actually these are my owned suggestion and consider a wish list. I would definitely hope the guys at My COSMOS asking a question or start a poll asking about “What do you like to see the next Cosmos add-on accessories?” Wasn’t that interesting? Some reviews do point out that Cosmos 1000 is almost too perfect design chassis with very less rooms for modding. Well, do you agree with that point? Just think that if the facts are true. I would like to see how CM will be able to come up with its own idea to expand its Cosmos ability and featured something that no other chassis can be done. Most probably I would wish they can improve the HDD temperature issue first with a HDD fan racks design.

Final Words for Cosmos
My COSMOS is still a weblog freshman on the internet and PC community. I’m not going to expect everything perfect from them or asking them had to follow others ideas either. But I do wish they can come up with something different and interesting than the other chassis weblog has never done before. For example, asking readers opinion for the next design, accessories and special add-on components for the Cosmos. Maybe make a weekly tips guide for Cosmos owner on what can other 3rd party accessories/hardware (it can be anything) can match or installed with the chassis to make it look cooler and superb.

As for now, everyone should now enjoy and check out the latest upcoming Cooler Master $10,000 KODE5 Video Shootout and 4th Annual Modding 2007 contests at Cooler Master Microsite.

I seem to be missing the point of this post.... It wasnt really a review, more telling us stuff about it, nothing of performance or anything...

Hello. I would suggest you read the site rules for these kind of threads which can in theory be classed as site pimping. there is a sticky in the feedback forum.

I do not want to remove this thread but I hope you understand that if these kind of threads are seen active on the forums, then we get 5 cropping up, then 10, then 20.

This leaves me in a situation where the site is used to basically promote other sites, and those who wish to have normal, conversation or support end up with a barrage of threads to weed through.

So don't take this as me getting at you, or warning you with a banning as I think what you are doing is a productive and genuine venture. However I hope you understand why I am going to lock this thread with the explanation to all our forum goers who might already be preparing links and information to their site and creative outlets.

You are all welcome to put links to your sites, or projects in your signatures, as long as they obviously don't break the site rules.

closed.
