I can't speak for us all, but I can say that I think Wes Anderson may be the best director of the new century. With brilliant films like
Rushmore,
The Royal Tennenbaums and
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou having such potently written and intelligent scripts as well as an unadulterated vibrance in audio and video quality, I can't really argue with his phenomenal concepts.
I just got through watching The Darjeeling Limited, his latest film. With one of the most impressive casting jobs I've ever seen(Adrian Brody, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson and Anjelica Huston to name a few) and a hilarious cameo by Bill Murray, this film will not only make you laugh, but it just might make you cry a little too. The pre-film short,
Hotel Chevalier, brings solidarity and relevance in bounds to the rest of the film, and the dialogue and acting are perfectly executed along with some of the prettiest cinematography you've ever seen in a film. If you want to be compelled by the smartest and probably most artistic film of the year, or you're simply trying to score points with your girl, go see The Darjeeling Ltd.

She'll love you for it, and hey, you just might feel enlightened!
