Hey! - ok - what'd you get while you were out this from 4:00AM or so this morning? The specials here in the States weren't as jaw dropping as the past couple years, but there were some good deals anyway...

As for "myself" (the family...):
Sears - Washing machine for $199.00!

Staples - Microsoft wireless 4000 Comfort Keyboard and mouse combo - 24.99, the Panasonic cordless phones (4 pak), some DVDs and 4x6 photo paper (free after rebate, and a universal remote (free after rebate). I saw the 17" widescreen Acer monitors for 119.00 but passed...

WalMart - We got a Wii!!! Woot! DVDs and a Barbie toy for my youngest Gracie...

Kmart - Magnetix set for my youngest son Bryce

Goody's - a pair of Levis for me.

Not bought Friday, but close enough:

Round-trip flight from Halifax to Edmonton, after taxes and other charges: $547

I'm pumped, going to have some fun snowboarding in the rockies this winter break.

Need to find myself a new jacket, and some new goggles before I leave, will probably run me another $400 or so, since I need to get them in the next few weeks, rather than waiting for marked-down gear like I usually do.

Yeah, I get most of my gear at sales over the summer, wasn't expecting this trip though, so wasn't looking for new stuff last summer.

I only picked up a CM Cosmos pc case from newegg for $90($180 with a $90 rebate). I just couldn't resist

Umm... went to the larger liquor store 2 hours away with people, after the rush at the mall and scored about $300 in liquor for about 150

ya... we all got there at midnight and waited till 3am when they started handing out tickets for the big ticket items. alot of people just walked upto the front door, blended in the line, and got the tickets. so all in all, being in line and waiting meant jack shit.

The washing machine works great - never knew I could get excited about a washer...

. And I got 10.00 off on it when I picked it up. There was a $10.00 promotion on it that they didn't "remind" me of - $189.00 then...

My wife noticed the MS Wireless keyboard/mouse combo and scarfed it for our existing system - I was gonna use it for the new system I keep building toward. Oh well...

The Wii is still in the box and will stay there 'til Christmas - dammit.

Don't forget those rebates!

PS - the 2.4Ghz wireless phones aren't messing with the Netgear wireless router - I tested - whew! I knew I was taking a chance, but it worked out.

yeah usually the wirelss 2.4ghz routers pitch a signal anywhere from 2460-2480mhz range... (from what i noticed).. where as the phones i think are arond the 2390-2410 if i recall right.
