Led Zeppelin album in the future?
Just what if, and I mean if you calculated the possibility of Page and Plant knocking out one more studio effort. I might just buy it, I mean the old Hammer of Gods magic may have gone, but it would be worth it. I have been following the band since they were the New Yardbirds. Anyone else interested?

I was very pleased to hear they were going to play some live shows, though i'd imagine the ticket prices are going to be insane. I'd probably be interested in a new album, but it's dangerous territory. The Led Zep I love was written and performed by young, drunk, rock n roll maniacs; not their grandfathers. It would be depressing to see then go the way the Stones did with their last three+ albums.
Over all, I'd prefer to just listen to them rock out the classics. |

I would rather dip my toe in for a free download first to hear whether there is any magic left rather than taking a plunge straight into icy waters.
The thing is, much of the stuff they originally came out with was truly experimental for the time. They had rare musical talents and song-writing skills and I question whether their enthusiasm for writing high quality and original music is still there. I sure hope it is. BtTW, you never answered my question in the other thread. Did you see them live in Scandinavia 1969?

Oh no, but I managed to collect the glossy tour book that was created after the first tour as the New Yardbirds. I still have it at home..LOL

Robert Plant's still pretty good live, so I'd give it a shot at least.
My dad would be all over it.

the old dudes still got it, no good new rock bands now.
I mean listen to the quality of this for example from the old dinosaurs of rock. YouTube - Queen & Paul Rodgers of Free - Wishing Well

Paul is fortunate he has still got it. Queen needs a charismatic singer to keep the music alive.
I remember listening to Free and Paul Kossoffs guitar music on Alright now. I was in a festival film but I cant remember where, it has been played over and over since for various reasons. I especially like Pauls work with Jimmy Page too. I would love to hear Paul Rodgers sing Seagull again. or Plant sing "thats the way" again. but I dont think it will have that vinyl kind of sound, I think going digital has taken the edge off the music somehow. I am not really an audiophile, but listening to records at two a.m. in the morning through some old headphones really made the music better.. I guess that is the memory I treasure most.
