Cleaning up for Christmas?

Ya know, relatives coming over is the case?

And you gotta start the whole "Sterilization" of the house right down to the noots and crannies of the silverwear.....

fun isn't it?

My house is itty bitty.... i think it's roughly 900 square feet... more then large enough for single-ol-me .... but i've had a electrican and plumber in a few times and have basically "tidied" up the mess left from it until now..

Mopping/washing/moving stuff around... hell i haven't done any much in terms of cleaning since i bought the house aside from washing the walls quick to paint them a semigloss white (which sure beats the hell outa the gaud awful pale pwuke green)

Only thing that kinda is dipressing, is out of all the things to get done, the dishwasher wasn't hooked up and wired in..... And i don't have a kitchen sink yet lol.... so it looks like a whole lot of dishes to be done in the bathtub.

Which is another thing, i've yet to get the plumping/walls/things done to get my shower all setup yet. I've changed my mind so many times in terms of doing the cost to useability/lasting long enough ratios.

In the end i went from a full sized shower stall to a smaller shower stall, to putting up barker board around the tub to just putting up plastic to finally making a final decission and ordering one of those old fashioned type oval Shower rod and curtain and then getting a kick ass showerhead..

Hopefully i can actually take a shower this coming monday for the first time..... my gaud it's been almost 10 months since i bought the place and i've yet to have made my first meal in it, or take a shower in it....

Priorities

At least now i can make a meal, finally got my stove plug wired in so i can't say i can't do it now....

Now to fill in all the cracks that are letting in the damn cold drafts..... a work always in progress..

Should be comfy for christmas though. Don't have room for a tree, but i should go grab some led lights or something and just string em up around the room lol.

I'll be spending christmas eve working though, so i'll have washed way more than enough pots to bother this year >_>

We had and still do, a lot of cleaning to eh do.
My grandmother is going through chemotherapy now (her husband died a month ago) so we have her here. Due to the medicines she has non existant defenses and everything has to be 110% clean all the time and then some. Due to a cold though we now also have to wear masks and stay mostly in different rooms. Thankfuly this first stage will end in the next few days, then normal for about a week, then start again. I haven't seen an apartment this clean like ever.
900 square feet? damn that's nice.
This apartment is about 85 square meters and 3 people have to share, with the above considerations too.

I like clean places, but this is almost (but not) absurd.

bluemak, sounds like you have a head start on everything...

There is an obvious point where something is so clean, it's uncomfortable.... my mother was/is like that....

I've probably looked like eddie murphy more then once....

I'm just waiting for my powerbill... i'm going to freak when i see it lol...

I'm running full on electric baseboard heating.... Then i'll have to convince myself that it was a wise decision.... that i'd be probably paying similare price for the combined bill of the eletric and natural gas lol..

I usually try and keep things clean and tidy.... but when things are of lower priority, things kinda just go "away"
