Russel, Joe & Mousey - 2008 So Far

Currently a work in progress, i'll be filming the rest next saturday perhaps before we get mashed at joe's lol.
Basically a big collection of footage filmed this year, most of it in the gym as of yet. Still incomplete, should have the full version in a few weeks if i film enough

its alright..... i know a ton of people who can better that. they're all breakdancers that can all move quick, steady and synchronized.

these are just local lads learning not only how to have fun and enjoy themselves but work on videos. As an old fart I admire that and I wish I could get him a professional camera, but he has to work on his vid editing and it is coming along, I think once he masters that he could do anything. I avoid comparing his attempts to anything else because he is trying to do something without creating or making just another cliche and just adding to the exercise video genre, I applaud his efforts.

The video parts with older looking buildings had a great feel to it with the sepia coloring. I'd try to get more like that into the final production.

Older looking buildings? You might have meant the bingley bit, i've got a few ideas for filming in bingley. The best spots are the modern bits though

I think the older parts give it character mate, especially the raining dreary brick this and that in the hobble cobble fashion it stretches from the beginning and the end of town. I mean you saw Lord of the flys, they took an island and made it into wonderful movie but you could have easily transplanted them into Ipswitch or Edinburough or its ilk and it would not lack the rich textures and sense of place either.
Your town is a goldmine of stories and drama Mousey, I look forward to your best efforts.
BTW, what would a decent camera cost anyway? just curious.

Depends where i shop around really, a half decent digital video camera could cost me anything in excess of £250 for what i need. I was talking to my mate Mac who told me he bought his camera for about £210, totalled about £260 when he paid for the insurance to go with it.
I'm looking at buying one of those bridge cameras, it's a cross between a DSLR and digital video camera, considering i need both functions it could be pretty useful for what i'm using it for

I purchased a panasonic HDR camera for my daughter for 700 dollars or so and it is excellent with some effects and she does wonders in Premiere. She is very good and was working on a career in communications before she became pregnant, surely they cant be that damn expensive here, but do what you can can right now Mousey if your up to it, looking foward to little vignettes of your town and your mates cutting up in your low budge production. Who knows, you might have a career in this mate.

Surprisingly enough he wasn't there, the gym was practically empty, very quiet this week

Got some good training in, and i landed my first frontflip without a springboard (it's on the vid)
