Oh yeah, I meant to post this up a while ago.
![]() Remember me beloved overweight beasty who was knocking on death's door a few months back? I've come to the conclusion that she's been playing me for an absolute sap for the last year or two and is doing just spiffy. ![]() Sorry, that's it. It was just a cheerful thought as she was giving me the old puppy-eyes for a milk bone before bed. ![]()

Well, that's certainely good to hear!
![]() Who can tell though. Maybe there WAS something, although I've come to the conclusion that pets can be the most deceptives beings on the freakin' world. I'll tell you a couple of stories about that. - You know, I had the occasional (although twisted ) habit to fake sudden death when my parents were giving me the real big frown - when I was a little couple years old pest. Don't ask. Now we also had a cat back then who was really witty, although not the quiestest among her species, with all the consequences you can imagine on the house and the furnitures. One time we shouted at her for another big mess she'd come up with, we were just shocked to see her suddenly falling to the floor on her side, eyes closed, and not making a single move afterwards. She got up a while later, after the whole family rushed attending to her, worried to death, and having forgotten about the earlier incident. See how humans can be slow, it was not before she repeated the same comedy a couple of times we realized she was just IMITATING ME. She dropped the habit shortly after she understood we had understood. ![]() - In the same vein, the daugther of the afore-mentioned quickly developped a similar strategy (although she found it on her own). She used to come around when we were having lunch or dinner (preferrably when we were having guests), and cough the Hell out of her lungs to make her point. Again, it took us a couple of times to realize it was her own way to ask (to demand) a little extra to her own meal, from our own plates of course. As I read somewhere in a Garfield comic strip... Cats do n ot necessarily make you live longer... But life itself definitely seems longer with a couple of them around.

She's a pro, and she's GOOD!
I've always considered her the "sweet & dumb" dog since me other pup was a bloody genius....but she's got the clever down in her own special way! Remind me to tell ya about the kitty here who she hates who happens to love her to pieces and thinks she's her Mom...
