I am not USA dh'er, but if I was to vote and it was possible, I would rather vote Bush again than her. There is something about her that I despise, though I don't know what.

I'm not a fan, as I think she's part of the "old guard". I see the biggest problem with US politics is that it's become too much of an us-vs.-them sort of thing with regards to the political parties. I think she encourages that. All the presidential candidates do, in my opinion. That, and I think her policies enforce a big, inefficient, government, much like the one we have now, and have had for the last 20 years.
Not to say I don't like some of her stances. She's been a State Senator where I live for a while, and there has been some positives which she has contributed too. I don't think she is evil, as some would suggest, but I probably wouldn't vote for her. |

whats to be said? the whole setup and choice of candidates is a joke. nobody has been selected to anthing yet. ya know, theres all this talk about the parties and what one will do and the other wont. is what hilary is doing/done actually good for her party or is it good for keeping america divided and reaching for each others throats?
all 3 media candidates = more of the same hypothetical situation: clinton has to keep the rift in dems alive in hopes mcain or herself will get in and keep american foriegn policy as it stands. if obama gets in this might require some sort of event after or around the general election but before obamas inauguration, on a large enough scale (something pertaining to iraq, iran or maybe syria) to keep america in the iraq region. all this because obama ran on and presumably will win on the fact that he voted against the iraq situation and will end the iraq situation immediately. Obama just said today that he vows to not let iran have a nuclear weapon and insists that jerusalem will remain the undivided capital of the Jewish state. So whats he going to do? move next door? Hillary is a side show, with her main quest feeding the "reality tv" mass of sheeple in the US. OMG, a woman! OMG a clinton! |

Not American but close enough...
I felt sympathy for Hillary Clinton when her husband was in office and she seemed to have some good ideas (like Universal Heathcare) but ever since she became a Senator she turned into nothing but a political opportunist with no real values, ethics, purpose or message. She will say whatever is useful to her at the time and counts on years of favors to get what she wants. She is undignified in defeat and a disgrace to her party. The funny thing is we won't even know what Hillary Clinton really thinks until her White House ambitions are crushed forever since everything she has said and done in the last 10 years is coldly calculated towards that goal.

My opinions as an American doesn't really matter and all American government makes that very clear. Our so called democracy is a joke and has been since the very beginning. The President is a puppet to congress and the senate and certainly a puppet to political contributions. Even if the person in office had the power of change it would still come down to one factor, genetics...The thought process cannot be manipulated. A women, an I don't know what, and a hillbilly, we are in serious trouble.

i haven't really followed the campaigns, being on the other side of the world and all
but i disagree with the stupid amount of campaigning that happens, and how many "primaries" and different votes (not really sure how it all works) - in AU there's a single day where everyone in the country votes, sure there's some campaigning, but not the excessive amount I see happens in the US. All that money should go to better use.

I would not vote for her, BUT I did vote for her when it was Wisconsin's turn just because I did not want to see Obama win... She is not that bad, but of course I did not get to see her face someone with a real understanding of the government.
If it was Obama and Hillary in the general election I guess I would have to go with her, but now that it is Obama and McCain GO McCAIN! |

Hilary is not as bad as Obama truthfully. Think about his accomplishments and hers leading up to when they ran for president. Obama has done nothing. The only reason it is news is because he is black and America is desperate for change they don't care what it is as long as its different.
Hilary has made foreign as well as domestic contributions. What has Obama done except be black and run for president. I am not racist but I am not going to vote for anyone just because they are black, are endorsed by the entertainment industry (they are not too bright), and because he has charisma behind nothing but promises. You need action to run this country and even though I absolutely hate Hilary she has actually take action unlike obama. I don't like any of them though but I would definately not pick Obama. |

![]() Accomplishments in this election mean very little because Clinton and McCain have turned their backs on everything they have achieved in the past in order to get elected. Both of them have been caught making up lies, look on Youtube for Hillary's sniper vids and her flip flop on Iraq, there's also the damning "Doubletalk express" vid exposing McCain. Obama may not have done much but he also hasn't been corrupted like the other two, they are little more than political animals willing to do or say whatever gets the votes and Obama has not taken that path which clearly speaks of his character. This is the kind of President Americans need right now. It's not because he is black or popular (although Hollywood hated Bush before everyone else so they aren't as dumb as you think).

Hollywood hates everyone who is not a democrat... They has been a few TV specials and reports on discrimination in the industry because of public political stance. To Actors and Musicians that endorse Obama this is what they are thinking. Democrat + Black = Revolutionary. The more revolutionary we treat an idea of a black president the more racism and hate will continue to grow. I watched a horrible special about what kids thought of Obama I think on MSNBC. It was at a school with 90% population (not exactly fair) and the guy asking the kids the questions started with things like how revolutionary is this. He was just setting them up for answers he wanted. Also when a kid stepped forward and said that people have been threatened at their school because if they didn't vote for Obama then they were considered racist. The reporters just shoved it off and totally misinterpreted it on purpose. This my stance on it. The news profits off of human tragedy so I will never give a f*ck who they endorse and for what reasons becuase they are looking out for themselves not this country. That doesn't mean I'm against everything they say because they say it, but I am not going to let them influence my decisions or make them for me. |

Hillary's out of it so I don't really want to give her any more thought; but I'm glad she's gone. Now it's just Obama and McCain. From the speeches I've watched I actually get absorbed by Obama whereas McCain just makes me unsettled whenever he smiles. I don't trust him.

What interests me most is who the running mates will be for the candidates. I think that this will be more of a crucial factor than it was in 2000 or 2004 because now you've got two Presidential candidates who are risky (one inexperienced, one old) and this will also show what kind of character they have (if Obama picks Clinton he's going for the easy win, if McCain picks one of those religious nutjobs he's betting the evangelical vote will win it for him).

I admire the way she ended her campaign and forgive her for how she acted as she didn't reign in her femmenine feelings as well as she should have as we men have to keep our masculinity under control too (no gender inequality there
), I agree with Andrew that when McCain smiles he just looks downright wily, Jon Stewart on the Daily Show Global Edition dissed him big time about his speech he made where he said "we need change....right now" or something like that lol, I don't think he'll win it but then again Gore and Bush was this close run so we'll see.

Hillary = Obama > McCain
for some people and Hillary > Obama > McCain for others, and Obama > Hillary >McCain for others still, but in most all cases notice McCain is at the end. People who are supporting McCain just want a republican in office. Not that I blame them, each to his own, each to his own indeed.

I watched a few interviews of McCain long before he decided to run for office and he looked very good with good points and down to earth.
The only thing that didn't go too well with me over recent articles about him is that he constantly at least implies that the war in Iraq will go on for many years and I am not sure that is good for anyone in the long run, including of course USA. If I was an american I don't know who I would vote, but at least in theory it would be McCain. I am all in favour of smaller government, etc, but Bush seems to think opposite of the way Republicans are supposed to be. He feels like a bad Democrat, in fact, both parties feel like a bad breed of the worst of both parties. I have a feeling, but just a feeling, that McCain is lying to get elected into office and he will be a much better president than he says he will. ( I hope that makes sense)

I get you Blue. Though for myself I'm just tired of all the BS of both parties. I'm sick of voting for the lesser of evils instead for someone that should be.

I'm Canadian btw but I think that this time I would have voted for Obama if I were to vote.
I wish Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the next candidates for the next election, it would be hella interesting/easy to choose.
