a WTF moment

There is a thread here in XP SUPPORT that I posted in, concerning someone wanting to downgrade his lappy from Vista to XP.

Verdian and I have responded, and since the OP didn't give a lot of info on the lappy, I decided to google it, and see what its's specs are.

It is one of the many common new tactics to increase site hits and most are always started by site owner/mod staff/admins.

Why?

Get a thread title which will be a big hitter on google search. submit the question on a big forum like driverheaven. Wait for answers, then create several accounts to copy the responses on "copy site" to a varying degree.

Joe Bloggs user goes onto google, searches for "possible to downgrade from Win Vista to XP?" and google has spidered the relevant sites. percentage of users hits the "copied" site and wow they are impressed with the level of tech support and join up in this (apparent) thriving community.

You guys have no idea how sinisters things are right now in the world of the net..
