Justice in my home town

Incident Date July 12, 2008 Time 2:53:00 PM Division Gold Hill Shift I
Title MVT Location 4024 WESTMEADOW DRIVE
Summary The victim observed an unknown 26 year old, possible Oriental Male sitting in the driver's seat of the victim's 1999 Acura which was parked on the north end of the victim's apartment complex.

The victim grabbed his 40 cal. semi automatic handgun and went to the parking lot where he confronted the suspect in the victim's car.

The suspect immediately backed up and drove eastbound through the parking lot and as he did this the victim fired two rounds at the suspect.

The suspect stopped at the northeast corner of the parking lot and exited the vehicle before running east into the street where a second unknown male stopped and allowed the first suspect to jump into the right front passenger seat. The suspects then left northbound on Weatmeadow Drive.

Officers did locate fresh blood on the driver's sude armrest of the victim's vehicle which is believed to belong to the suspect in the victim's vehicle.

A blood trail lead to the street where the suspect entered the second suspect's vehicle which was described as a 1999 Acura Integra, primer black in color with tinted black windows; after market chrome rims; a loud muffler; and possible damage to the right front headlight. There was a tinted license plate cover which prohibited the victim from obtaining a license plate number.

The area hospitals were alerted to watch for a suspect with an injury consistant with being shot or hit with glass fragments.

Sounds like this is a classic case where more "Gun Control" is needed!

If dude would have had better "Gun Control" he would have whacked the perp, and saved the tax-payers the cost of future trial and incarceration when the perp is eventually caught.

Its scary, because that is just round the corner from my parents house in Colorado Springs.
Poeple still legally carry weapons at home to protect property and can legally use them during a robbery or theft of property or person.
My own father keeps an arsenal in the house in the event he needs to use it.
In California ther house was broken into by some teenagers and my father called the police and claimed to have shot one of them (a lie) just to get the police there within minutes.
Cops in Colorado Springs shoot first and ask questions later as well.
four suspects have been fatally shot by raising a weapon at officers and patrolman when they did not verbally respond to an order to drop their weapon or lie down.
Cops have been shot at and have been victems of road rage as well.
We have a proactive police department, and the ratio of citizen to policemen is over 6000 to 1 so they tend to react quicikly to situations potentiol criminal in nature or otherwise.

its scary, I want my daughter and her family to move, its getting as bad as Denver Colorado. My son lives in San Diego, but on a military base. My parents have good neighbors to watch their house. Drugs have really torn the fabric of city apart and it will get to the point where the police will become more aggressive towards criminals.
