Hello everyone, just signed on here...like the place, and hope to learn and teach while being on the boards.

I've been an amatuer gaming rig guy...but I'm starting a small business soon, so I might want to learn a few things from you guys, and get some reviews on various hardware today.

If anyone of you guys has a gaming pc shop, I'd be happy to hear from you on the private msg...I've just got a couple of questions that I'd like to ask.

Hey everyone!
I'm not gonna reveal my real name, but if you would like to know more info about me you can PM me.

I run my own computer repair, building, training, (mostly baby boomer and older) and consultation business in So Cali. I specialize in near silent PC's as well as doing corporate emergency PC repairs.

I do some PS2 and Xbox 1 (no 360) repairs, and "other stuff", from time to time.

PM me if you have friends in my area that need PC help. (Not free of course.)

I discovered this site many years ago while researching problems with an old ATI card. I read reviews from here every once in a while.

I joined to learn more about the cool creative Audigy 1 mods and in the future may get into using the kx driver on an old SB live.

If anyone feels like helping out the new guy understand how to get the Audigy 1 SB0160 modded to work with the X-fi, or A4 software, the threads I've recently posted in are below. I'm using XP MCE SP3.

Hi I'm new 22 years old. Trying to get back out there and get a degree in the sciences. As for this weekend Just home recovering from a drawn out knee injury and whole bunch of other crazy stuff that happened over the course of a year. My computer is everything to me and I'm on it 24/7 its been my only window to the outside world for a while. This site seems really cool so here i am. Can't wait to talk to you guys.

Hi members, I'm Mich,

I stumbled upon this site while trying to find a solution to the widespread and often written about, but apparently never solved, problem with ati wdm drivers that fail to install due to a remote procedure call that fails. Some posts suggested Driver Cleaner so I came here to learn about it. I hope this new member finds a solution here.

Hello everyone!

Great to virtually meet you all ... I've been lurking for a while and I am super impressed with how helpful and friendly these forums are.

My name's Monica and I work with the AMD team ... you'll be seeing me around the forums sharing info/contests/news directly from the good folks at AMD/ATi. Of course, I'll help with any questions where I can, and where I can't I'm happy to pass questions and feedback on to the team.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool geek and a huge gamer. Started as a PC gamer, went heavily into the retro-gaming scene, found my way to the most recent consoles (well, v1 Xbox, PS2, Wii, X360 ... haven't got a PS3 yet, but might now that the Slim is a better price), but never left PC gaming.

I'll be building a new gaming rig from scratch in the next month or so ... I'm hoping I can count on the good folks here for lots of good advice!

Thanks, and I look forward to meeting a lot of you on the boards, and, who knows ... maybe even in person!

I joined this place because of one of the links I popped onto - a link to enter a competition, probably like many other people have done. Hello Craig and All Others,

Just finished a long brilliantly written first message when it just disappeared.

Started with personal computers in 1975 with an ALF made from schematics designed and written by Forrest Mims of Popular Electronics Magazine. Moved to Interact which was a CPM based game machine you could program in BASIC. Had brillian idea to move to a TI99. I thought it had good graphics, easily programmed, was expandable (Interact required much much soldering for every update or expansion) also fairly cheap. I guess I would have bought an Edsel if I had had the money. Now running a vanilla HP as main system and a oooolllldddd A8V Deluxe based system for my grand daughters (5 yrs old) games. Run a HP laptop and she has a Compaq laptop. Retired in 1979 living in Florida and got tired of golf, fishing, boating etc. Went back to semi work. Work sometime as Independent Contract Inspector for FEMA's Disaster Housing Program. Turns out I love it.
