Hi there I am a new member & found out about this site while I was browsing for new parts to re-build a more up to date PC than the one I am currently using which is an cheap 2nd hand Pc that I bought to replace a PC that was destroyed when a cheap temporary PSU's plugs melted the motherboard.
That PC was slowly dying on me as I had already lost a good graphics card when that decided to give up the ghost after some heavy Call Of Duty play.
Got the computer bug nearly 8 years ago after being unhappy with a Pc that I had recently bought & being frustrated that an extended warranty that I was stupid to take out prevented me from upgrading even the RAM.
Have built 3 PC's now & when funds permitted have constantly upgraded (well that was until we got into heavy debts & had kids) to the best budget components that I can find.
Next year I am looking forward to building a more updated PC which will allow us to play some off the more modern games (this 1 plays jack ).
Would love a job in PC's as I am always fixing/upgrading friends & neighbours PC's.
In the mean time I look forward to reading & taking part in the forums of this site in the new year.

I recently got a new pc, I am now trying to overclock my e8600 and it's pritty crappy because it needs far too much voltage compared to what I've read on forums.

Just for 4ghz. (vcore@ 1.282v stable in prime95 for 7hrs). Similarly 4.2ghz is a real pain in the rear. (1.3625V stable for 1 hour in prim95 then system crash, anything less crashes after 1-15 mins).

Am currently playing Assassin's Creed, after finishing Fallout 3/Tomb Raider Underworld.

Would love to keep the e8600 at 4.2ghz though because in the time I've played all my games on that frequency I can see notable improvements.

Here's an old school geek. 41 year young Swede currently living in Stockholm, Sweden.

Computers has been my biggest passion since a classmates father bought an ABC-80 for use in their business, this was in 1980 or 1981, I don't remember exactly. Then when I got my first own computer, a Commodore 64 in 1983, I was forever hooked!

Bought my first Amiga 500 late 1987 and my Amiga 4000D in late 1992. That was what I was playing around with until 2002 when I finally had to get myself a "PC" so I could play some of the games I wanted and watch movies and such, something that the Amiga was just to slow for. Since then I've built about 5 computers.

I'm a self taught Graphics designer and I learned everything on the Amigas. I still prefer PageStream in some ways before Pagemaker and Indesign, I guess that's just because I used it for so long!

I know a lot about computers but I know far from everything and I keep learning new things all the time. It's an endless source of knowledge. I'm a problem solver, I get kicks from finding a problem and searching for the solution.

I'm also passionate about most things italian. Italian cars (I've had 6 Alfa Romeos since I got my license at 18), design, food, wine and the country itself. Only thing italian I'm not so sure about is italian women, they scare me!

I had been trying to update my Radeon Mobility 9200 driver with no sucess for over a year until I found this site. I can now run my video edit programs without being asked to update the driver every time I start up.
I tried to donate via the Paypal link but it is in Dutch, is there a way to access an English version?
