Heath ledger was a supporting actor in the movie. He kicked christian bale's ass at acting though.

I did not enjoy the movie. I'd rank it about equal to Equilibrium, which means I'll have a bad night if someone turns it on where I'm forced to watch it.

Christian Bale cannot act. He never could. Heath and Gary Oldman were the saving graces of the movie, and they only saved it on a good acting level. Overall I was bored, I didn't care about the characters, and the movie fell short of the hype (#1 on IMDb? c'mon...)

That being said, I'm biased, I don't like Batman, and I really don't like Bale.

I can understand not liking Bale or even Batman...but this was a top notch crime drama. Even if you took away all the hero and villain stuff you have a sweet mob movie

I quite enjoyed it. Can't say ive been sucked into the hype though. Didn't seem that wonderful to me.

I've come across a few who thought it was mediocre at best, like my brother.

He said his major turn off was Bale's voice he did when he was Batman. Of course, he never saw Batman Begins for whatever reason, so his experience was doomed from the start.

well im certainly not saying its crap. I think I was maybe just not in the mood for it tbh as I normally love those things, but yeah bale annoyed me, his voice always sounded like he was making dirty phone calls so I was never sure if he was going to kick the jokers ass or ask him if he was wearing white panties. I actually much prefered Keaton as batman.

well i wouldn't expect batman to just up and talk like normal so he could be easily identified...

imo it's better then those damn voice changer thingies that make you sound like a complete retard.....

Guys we all know its Batman trying to "hide" his identity, its been this way since the dawn of time and all the other actors who have portrayed batman have gotten it right.

Bale in my opinion didn't get it right, it sounded daft. I mean at the end of the day you can't sit and analyse comic book films, as some of the key points are ridiculous. Clark Kent being unknown because he slaps on a pair of glasses? Batman hiding his whole body in a suit and changing his voice yet having most of his face visible? You just need to suspend belief to watch them otherwise you just sit laughing your ass off at the stupidity. My point was merely that Bale hasn't really done a great job of the role in my opinion.

I know you all loved the movie and thats cool, ill just bugger off now
