yeah... moment you move your eyes.. .it all disappears....

i had to do it a few times...

even if you stare at the single spot and then try without moving your eyes, to see the black and white.. it'll remain move and it disappears... realy interesting..

Specifically dealing with rods (which if i don't get the 2 mixed up) which provide us with our sence of dark/lightness.

Cones dictate color..

And if i understand the situation properly..

With a sudden change, our "cones" are not full adjusting, they by default see color and with the "burn in" effect, our eyes and minds automatically do an "overlay" type of thing where the dark areas become colored and the light areas become darker colored zones... or maybe i got that backwards....

what i'd like to know is why we perceive a sense of burn in... Like the cones are registering things properly, but our minds keep a memory of what we are seeing, only more vividly when we concentrate on what we are looking at.

Burn in and persistance of vision work best with the blue/orange oppisites.

Neat effect, I'm surprised the burn in is so pronounced with such a short view of the first image.......

someone has way to much time on their hands to come up with this....... but a nice subject

That's because you are a woman and you need to think more like a man to make it work.

If you focus on her breasts, right in the middle of her cleavage in fact, and not move your eyes from that spot, then it will work. Us guys do that naturally which is why it worked for us.

All three of my sisters noticed it.

if you so much as flinch or don't bother concentrating.... you can easily lose the illusion.

some people have a nack in making it work, kinda like magic eye.... some other just can never get it to work.
