shipping nightmare being fully realized...
quite a number of months ago..... i had a OCZ PSU fail, i RMAed it, and while it did take awhile, it didn't take to long (i beleive it was about a month from the time i shipped to when i received it.. but definitely shorter then a month)
a little later on of my many seagate drives coughed up a lung and well i had made mention of it here on these forums about vista stateing the drive was failing and to backup the thing emediately. (nice, vista's extra bonus) I sent in a request for RMA... and today i received confermation just now. Quote:

Aww that sucks if it's a HDD that's failed and needs an RMA they should get back to you ASAP, what if it's the only drive in your system? you'd be well and truly screwed then

Guys,
it's not the companies fault they just received it.... that was the acknowledgement that they RECEIVED it... i have no doubt that they had just received it... it took over 5 months for it to go from my location to thier US location.....

judas, do you use tracking numbers? iive noticed when i shipped my HDD to seagate, they have the thing for like 5-7 days before they acknowledge they got it especially when UPS says they signed for it like 5 days before.....

yeah...... i do use tracking numbers..
it was sitting in saskatchewan for about 3 weeks before moving to the border and sitting there for a good month.... later on it took another period of time for it to move throughout the states from there.... but the information pertaining to the shipping doesn't seem at all accurate. i mean shit when a package requires a signature from the person that is saposed to be recieving it. And it shows on the tracking form that it was signed by someone other then the person was sent to AT the location is was sent to, but is technically impossible considering that there is no way it could have been signed by that person at the location it states, you know things are for lack of a better word  ed up!Cmon, 100 miles from the location it states is where someone signed for it.....i know this for a fact
